Air Shark is a free arcade game where you play as a helicopter pilot equipped for heavy battle. Your mission is to fight terrorists, destroying their secret bases and the weapon factories they have around the world.
There are ten different helicopters that you can fly on and 20 levels to go through. The landscape type will change during the game, with five different landscape types to be taken through. The flight experience is nice, however, at times you are not allowed to speed up and you may find this to be displeasing. As you make progresses, you will receive upgrades for your arms and missiles and also power-ups. There are ten different weapons available, with a five level upgrade possibility.
Being an arcade game, there is no need for strategy and tactics, but this makes it a good game for relieving stress. You may find things to become more interesting once you discover the cheat codes that are available, as many players find it fun to "short circuit" a game.
The system requirements are decent: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista operating system, 500MHz CPU and 128 MB RAM.
All in all, it is a fun game for those moments when you simply want to disconnect from the daily grinds. Children could find it funny on all occasions though.
